Invalid Card Type - AMEX - DISCOVER

Problem

When running AMEX and/or Discover cards with version 5.1 or higher, the error message is INVALID CARD TYPE.

Solution

Select ACCEPT AMEX and/or ACCEPT DISCOVER in Setup/Preferences (Express or Payment Server) or Setup/Configure System (PRO).

Additional Comments

Upgrades will always retain original configuration information to prevent corruption of existing merchant information, therefore, although these options are enabled by default with a new installation, they will not be enabled with ugprades from pre-5.1 versions as the selections were not added until 5.1.
