Error 61

Problem

When attempting a credit card transaction, the response is ERROR 61.

Solution
  1. Click on Setup/Credit Card Company (or Setup/Merchant Setup/Setup Wizard, then click Next).
  2. Highlight the number under Credit Card Company Numbers.
  3. Click OK or Next until you are back at the main processing window (Note: Clicking cancel on any of these windows will cancel the repair).
  4. Try a test transaction
  5. If this does not work, verify that the computer's system date is accurate (Double-click on the time displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the computer screen).
