This is a problem associated with the Modem. Lower-Priced Modems and some Win/Soft Modems will cause this error if the driver is incorrect, or if the modem 'Hardware' has failed. 'CRC' stands for 'Cyclic Redundancy Check', and is a process that the modem goes through each time it is initialized.
Install the manufacturer recommended drivers specific for that modem and the operating system being used. If this does not resolve, replace the modem with one that is listed on the GO Software website (http://www.gosoftware.com/support/PCChargeHardware.htm#modem). |
