Error 75 - Path Not Found

Problem

When attempting to process through PCCharge Client to PCCharge Pro or PCCharge Payment Server Error 75 - Path Not Found is displayed. This may be followed by Error 52 - Bad File Name or Number.

Solution

This error may be resolved by performing one or more of the following steps. Permissions (step 1), BY FAR, is the most common cause for Error 75 - Path Not Found:

  1. The PCCharge Pro or PCCharge Payment Server directory must be shared with FULL CONTROL for Sharing and Security Permissions to the computer (s) on which PCCharge Client is installed.
  2. Check for a shortcut to the executable in the installation directory. Delete the shortcut.
  3. Verify that only one copy of the executable file exists on that computer (Use Windows Search capabilities).
  4. Verify that the TID file is NOT Read Only.
  5. Verify that each Client has it's own unique user.
  6. Verify that there is only one PCCharge installation directory (PCCW, Active-charge) on the server.
  7. Verify that the path to the PCCharge executable on the server is correct and does not include a mapped drive.
